Meet Lauren Buchholz

//welcome to my cringe 2018 version of “Meet Lauren Buchholz” – preserving it as history until I am bored enough to update

Thank you for checking out my page – I appreciate you.

My name is Lauren Buchholz. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs cheering for the Cubs and scraping snow off my windshield for too many months of the year. After high school, I ventured south to Texas Christian University where I studied Entrepreneurial Management and cheered for the Horned Frogs. I spent a semester in Barcelona working on my Spanish and taking advantage of cheap flights to explore Europe. For two consecutive summers I lived in Austin, TX as an intern for IBM working with developers and engineers for the Watson Internet of Things business.

Immediately after graduating from TCU, I started my full-time job at IBM in the Summit Program. For six months, I travelled across the U.S. with a group of 30 new IBMers to learn competitive and technical skills for the IT industry.

Now, I am working on shaking things up at IBM. I am a natural networker and want to make those around me feel as excited as I do. My passions revolve around learning from others, creatively approaching problems both old & new, and having a positive impact on those around me.

Every single day, I am prepared to be amazed. I am a repeater of mistakes, in denial of my lack of athleticism, and guilty of hogging the karaoke mic – But I wake up every day ready to learn from someone and won’t hesitate to tell you why you inspire me. Thank you for being you.
